The NikeLab family of stores will grow in December with the opening of a new brick and mortar location in Tokyo. Based on a post in Japanese on Fashion Snap, it sounds like NikeLab MA5 will open its doors on Dec. 1 at Minami-Aoyama 5-12-24 Chateau oriental Minami Aoyama 1F.
While Japan was previously without a standalone NikeLab store, it does have a dedicated NikeLab space inside Dover Street Market Ginza in Tokyo.
Nike introduced NikeLab, which is part retail concept and part product line, in 2014, transforming longstanding locations like New York City's 21 Mercer store into NikeLab doors. The NikeLab imprint has since been the source of some of the most sought-after and resold sneakers from the Swoosh.
