Buying sneakers can without a doubt become a very expensive hobby, but when it comes to the Athletic Propulsion Labs Lusso Supreme it is on completely different level. We're not talking $720 for self-lacing Nikes or $1,500 for designer sneakers expensive. The APL Lusso Supreme will set you back a solid $20,000 for one pair.

The sneakers feature a crocodile skin upper, 24K gold details painted on, and waxed laces. According to APL Co-founders Adam and Ryan Goldston, creating these made-in-Italy luxury sneakers was a two-year process.

"This is an exciting product introduction for us because it shows we can create product that sits at the very top of the market in terms of price and quality. This shoe is the epitome of luxury performance and we’re glad to introduce something the world hasn’t seen before,” they told Forbes.

On paper, the design surely sounds expensive, but what meets the eye doesn't quite scream $20,000. Granted, other sneakers like the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4 or Nike Air Mag have sold for tens of thousands of dollars, too, but what they also do is tell a story and benefit a charitable cause.

Whether the APL Lusso Supreme is your cup of tea or not, they are extremely limited. Don't expect to be able to checkout and next day air these to the crib. These made-to-order sneakers come with a 12-week lead time and can be purchased here.
