It turns out the upcoming Pinnacle Air Jordan 6, a pricy pair of Jordans in gold set to release on Oct. 22, is meant to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Michael Jordan's first ring. This bit of info comes via @J23app, who says the shoe tells the championship story along with a couple other upcoming metallic Jordans.

The shoe will mark the first time Jordan has given the Pinnacle treatment to this silhouette, which will be considerably cheaper than other Pinnacle Jordans at $250 vs the standard $400.
This gold Air Jordan 6 is not without precedent, looking rather like Spike Lee's special pair of Academy Awards Jordan 6s.
