When the Chicago Cubs saw that David Price hooked his Boston Red Sox teammates up with free Air Jordans last month, attention quickly turned to outfielder Dexter Fowler, also a member of the Jordan Brand's roster of athletes. After a little nudging (or hounding, as Fowler put it) from his teammates, the All Star came through in the clutch.
Earlier today, Fowler shared a photo of a stack of Air Jordan Retro boxes, confirming that he has pairs for each member of the Cubs. While the shoes are still boxed, the caption indicates that they were gifted the yet-to-release "Deep Royal" Air Jordan 12 — Cubby Blue, of course.
Fowler and his freshly laced Cubs will host Game 1 of the NLCS on Saturday.
