These Pumas Use an App to Lace Themselves

The latest on Puma's Autodisc sneaker.

Nike isn't the only brand with an auto-lacing sneaker. Puma's been touting its own take on the tech, which updates its old Disc lacing system, for a while. While there's still little evidence of the Puma Autodisc coming to retail, another promo version has popped up.

This one, shared by Hikmet Sugoer on Facebook, syncs the shoe with an app that allows the user to tighten or loosen it with the press of a button. Previous versions of the Autodisc required the wearer to actually press a button on the shoe to fasten it.

According to Sugoer, the sneaker is one of only 25 pairs produced.
