New Balance has strong ties to the USA and UK, but this upcoming collaboration is exclusive to China.
It comes courtesy of Phantaci, a Taiwan-based streetwear brand which has previously collaborated with New Balance on sneakers like 2011's "Green Hornet" 580.
This time around, the brand takes on the 997.5 hybrid model which merges the upper of the 997 with the midsole tooling of the 998. It's been given a tri-color look which is broken into pink, white, and black sections.
These are set to release on September 15 exclusively in China, and no further release information is available.
