Menswear designer Todd Synder and New Balance are linking up for a collab design on the latter's 998 silhouette, which has been frequently picked for these kind of projects in the past couple years. Like other pairs of this sort, the model uses New Balance's custom NB1 platform to create the colorway.
Inspired by one of Snyder’s favorite drinks and intended as an ode to New York's iconic Old Town Bar, the shoe is dubbed the "Black and Tan" 998. Staying true to its name, the colorway combines a black and tan suede upper with tan mesh and and black nylon laces.
The Todd Snyder NB1 998 will be available starting Monday, Aug. 15, in limited numbers at toddsynder.com. Customers can also design their own at New Balance's NB1 Project.
