The 2016 U.S. Open officially begins in New York next week, which means it's about time for sneaker brands to start alerting the press of their footwear geared toward the event. Firing the first shot is Asics, which has teamed up with Packer Shoes for the "Game. Set. Match." collection.
The retro sneakers included in the group are the Onitsuka Tiger Lawnship and GSM and the Asics Gel Lyte 3 and Gel Sight. Packer also brings a performance model into the mix, giving the Gel-Resolution 6 a lifestyle makeover. The shoes will range from $100 to $160.
Also releasing in the pack is a capsule of apparel created with Mitchell & Ness. Red, white, and blue palettes are ported from the shoes onto track jackets, polos, windbreakers, and more.
The Packer Shoes x Asics x Mitchell & Ness "Game. Set. Match." collection will release at a pop-up space at Grand Central Station’s Vanderbilt Hall in New York City from Tuesday, Aug. 30 to Thursday, Sep. 1.
