The Kubo x Air Jordan 15 is the latest movie-centric collaborative sneaker from Nike and animation studio Laika. The shoe, unveiled in full today, was designed by Tinker Hatfield, who talks about the model in the above video from Complex.

In the video, Hatfield admits that the Air Jordan 15 is one of the least well-received Jordans, and says he's glad he got to redesign it.

"A few times I've said my least favorite [Air Jordan] is the Air Jordan 15," Hatfield says. Later he explains that this collaboration gave him the opportunity to redesign the oft-maligned sneaker. "It was like a do-over. It's like, I never really get to do-over anything, and so that was a do-over."

The left and right shoes are mismatched, with blue and red colorways telling the story of good and evil.

Complex and a number of other outlets are giving away pairs of the sneakers. Readers can find more on that here.
