Tonight, WWE's SummerSlam event was held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. On the card, a tag team title defense by the New Day against The Club. For one of his biggest matches of the year, New Day's Kofi Kingston linked up with sneaker customizer Mache to come up with the appropriate footwear.
The result was these ultra-wild Unicorn-inspired Nike LeBron Soldier 10s. To wrestling fans, this makes complete sense. For those who don't watch, I could explain that wearing a unicorn horn headband is part of the New Day's gimmick, but that probably just makes things more confusing.
How did these customs come about? A quick Twitter exchange between Kofi, a fan and Mache less than two weeks ago.

According to Mache, a few DMs were exchanged to set everything in motion for this weekend's delivery.
The customs proved to be effective — New Day was disqualified in their match due to outside interference, but retained their championship belts.
