The Cortez, the shoe famously worn by Forrest Gump, is one of those Nike models that comes back every couple of years for a retro—sometimes with tech upgrades. The last year and a half has been a dense period for the shoe, with Nike bringing back the iconic white/red/blue colorway again and again.
The latest again comes via the Nike Cortez Ultra Moire, which has a perforated upper and more modern materials than the traditional leather and mesh ones of old. The sneaker also introduces reflective accents on the heel, something that's not typical of the Cortez.
While there's no hard sneaker release date for these yet, the new Nike Cortez Ultra Moires should hit stores in July.
