An institution since its 1998 debut, Nike's Mercurial cleat series has led a style and performance revolution on the pitch. A celebration of the Mercurial's evolution, Nike has fused 16 of its most memorable designs into one "What The Mercurial" SuperFly cleat.
Continuing the mash-up concept introduced by Nike Skateboarding in 2007, each cleat bears a striped design representing past Mercurials. The incorporated models are printed on the sockliners, while four logos from past designs create a new logo on the heel and aglets. In total, 18 different colors appear, the most ever on a pair of Nike soccer cleats.
Limited to a run of 3,000 pairs, "What The Mercurials" will release in a special "What The Bag" and "What The Box" this Thursday, May 5. Visit nike.com for more insight on each model worked into the design.
