There was a time in the not too distant past when athletes were our primary inspiration when it came to sneakers. That’s not surprising considering sneakers have always been more than fashion statement for them–they’re a tool of their trade.

But in recent times, it’s become more and more common to see entertainers debuting sneakers, getting exclusive colorways, and even designing their own signature models. When it comes to sneakers, our attention has never been as focused on musicians, actors and even comedians, as it is now. We asked NBA players from around the league for their take on the subject.
