March 18, 1995. The world woke up to Montel Jordan's "This Is How We Do It" climbing the charts, and Outbreak claiming the top spot at the box office. Exciting times for sure, but little did we know that a seemingly inconspicuous day on the calendar that would change NBA history forever. With a simple two word statement issued through agent David Falk, Michael Jordan officially announced his return to the league after his shocking 17-month baseball hiatus.

On this day, Jordan pulled up to Chicago's Berto Center in a red Corvette for his first official practice with the team. Surprisingly, he wasn't wearing Air Jordans or any other visible Jumpman logos—a move that the eventual CEO of his own brand wouldn't make often throughout the remainder of his career. Jordan is one of the great style icons of his time—for a lot of the right reasons and some of the wrong.
