Remember when the New Balance 997.5 was the only form of 997 out there as a retro? The shoe had a decent run, including memorable collaborations from nonnative and United Arrows, but was eventually retired for a true 997 retro.
As of now, the sneaker is back. The shoe has a traditional 997 upper paired with the 998 tooling just like last time, but appears to be slightly different in its approach to branding—the side "N" hit looks bigger here than it has in the past.
New Balance allowed for some collaborations on the 997.5 earlier this year via Beauty & Youth.
Packer Shoes will have this hybrid style come Saturday, April 30, both in-store and online.
