Yes, Kanye West designed an adidas shoe way back in 2006. After news of this pre-Yeezy collab made its way around the Internet last week, an ex-adidas employee involved with the project came forward to give the world its first look at the scrapped shoe.

Ben Pruess, former global director of adidas Originals and now a senior VP at Under Armour, shared images of the shoe on his Instagram.

The silhouette is the Rod Laver Vintage, which is reworked with Kanye West's bear logo on the tongue and on the midsole at the heel. These images show "SAMPLE" text on the insides of the shoes that further confirms their unicorn status.

It's unclear how many pairs of these exist, but it's safe to say this is one of the rarest, and most difficult to acquire, Kanye West sneakers ever produced.
