Like the Tubular before it, the adidas NMD will mutate over time, with spin-off silhouettes building on the popular shoe to give people more options at retail.
One of the new forms that the shoe will take is the adidas NMD XR1, seen here. The sneaker has the same tooling on bottom as the original NMD, while its upper uses support cages on the sides and a more prominent lacing system.
For now, adidas hasn't said anything about this new NMD style. But, according to Modern Notoriety, the all-white colorway pictured will release in July alongside a handful of others.
