New Adidas Collab References Forgotten Three Stripes Model

Do you remember the Hogan?

The latest from adidas Skateboarding is a collaboration whose reference to the Three Stripes archives might be lost on a younger generation of sneakerheads.

The adidas Superstar Vulc used for the project gets its inspiration from 1981's adidas Hogan, a shoe made for racquetball champ Marty Hogan. In place of his name on the side of the shoe there's a golden "Player" script.

The gold motif carries over onto the apparel, which is inspired in part by adidas' old Boston Marathon apparel.

The AlltimersĀ x adidas Skateboarding collection releases on April 7 online via adidas here and at select U.S. stockists.
