Good news for longtime fans of Saucony's work in the collaboration space: these Alife-designed pairs are actually releasing.
The set was originally intended as a follow-up to the Alife x Saucony Shadow 6000 project, but never saw the light of day at retail. The hybrid design, which surfaced in 2009, uses the Saucony Jazz upper on a Shadow 6000 tooling.
These pairs aren't entirely true to the originals, as the "ARC" branding on the tongue is replaced with "ALIFE" tags this time around.
Watch for 300 of each of these two pairs of Alife x Saucony '91s ($90) to release on Thursday, March 31, via Alife in-store and online. Also releasing this week is a set of complementary apparel, which appears below.
