For the better part of the past 20 years, the San Antonio Spurs vs. the Los Angeles Lakers has been one of the NBA's premier rivalries. The driving forces behind the many classic duels between the teams during that period have been Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant, who squared off for the 82nd and final time at Staples Center last night.

With the Lakers being the Lakers and the Spurs being shorthanded, the game was a lot more competitive than expected. The Lakers, rallied back from an 11-point halftime deficit, but big plays down the stretch by Kyle Anderson and Patty Mills sealed the 119-113 victory for the Spurs. Bryant finished with 25 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and a dislocated middle finger on his shooting hand. Fortunately, x-rays were negative.

For his final dance with the Spurs, Kobe played in black, yellow and purple Nike Kobe 11 PE. The most interesting detail about this pair may be the "Bruce Lee" scratches on the heel — let the rumors begin.
