James Harden's days with Nike are over and done. In fact, Harden is already in the middle of working on his first signature sneaker and collection as a part of his current sneaker endorsement deal with adidas. So what did the new face of adidas Basketball do with all of his old Nike sneakers?
"I gave them to my mom and told her to do whatever with them," Harden said in an interview with Sole Collector during the 2016 NBA All-Star weekend. "I don’t need them anymore."
The player added an explanation as to why he's looking forward to his tenure with adidas, which is a reported long-term deal worth $200 million. "I’m very excited about the direction adidas is going. Just their entire swagger and approach fits me very well."
