The latest colorful Nike Flyknit Racer borrows its look from an unexpected source.
The orange and purple mixture, shown here, is inspired by acai berries, which are a popular source of fuel for runners. Nike's description of the shoe says as much and also suggests that this silhouette will be on a one-colorway-per-month plan going forward.
While fans of the Flyknit line are no doubt happy to know that Nike's committed to this sneaker, they might be happier if the brand gave the same sort of love to the Flyknit Trainer.
This pair has already arrived at select Nike Sportswear accounts, and will get an official release via Nike on Friday, Nov. 13, for $150.
