If you had the chance to ask Michael Jordan any question you wanted, what would it be?

Would you ask him what the exact black and red sneakers were that the NBA banned back in 1985? Or would you ask him what really happened the night before the Flu Game?

Bryce Lyle, a 17-year-old attendee of MJ’s Flight School basketball camp, chose to hit the G.O.A.T. with an Internet meme. Tuesday morning, a video went viral of the teenage baller asking Jordan “WHAT ARE THOOOOOSE?” during the camp’s Q&A session.

“All these kids were asking the same kind of boring questions and I just wanted to spice it up and joke around a bit,” Lyle told Sole Collector.

A couple of the questions that Jordan was fielding before Lyle’s:

What’s your favorite car that you have?

What did it feel like getting crossed by Allen Iverson?

“I talked to my little brother and some friends about the [Q&A portion] at the beginning of the week,” said Lyle, who’s been attending the camp for the last two years. “I told him I’m about to ask him ‘What are thooose!’”

The 52-year-old Jordan was a bit bewildered by the question and replied by confirming the sneakers that were in fact on his feet: the never-before-seen Air Jordan XX9 low. Lyle said he didn't mean to disrespect His Airness.

"Michael Jordan is my hero. I’ve always looked up him," he said. "He’s one of the greatest players of all time and I worked really hard to come to this camp."

Lyle added that the six-time NBA Champ took the joke in stride.

“Today we had an autograph session and I walked right in front of him,” he said. “It seemed like he forgot about it. It was like nothing had happened. I’m pretty sure he has better things to do.”

So is the teen afraid of getting denied access to next year’s Flight School? Nope.

“This is actually my last year,” he said. "I’m too old to go back to camp next year because I age out.”
