Introduced in 1965 and officially marketed in 1973, the Stan Smith isn’t only one of adidas’ most popular sneakers, but also its best-selling.
This according to the company’s 268-page annual report for 2014, which credits Stan Smith’s tennis sig with 40 million pairs sold since its retail debut. The model has enjoyed a bit of a resurgence as of late, following its return to stores last January.
