For a shoe that was so limited, the Nike Pigeon Dunk SB left a lasting impression on the sneaker world. The release is hitting its 10-year anniversary on Feb. 22, and in memory of the sneaker, and the ruckus it created, we are taking a detailed look back at its launch. 

We went directly to the source, Jeff Staple, to wax on that fateful release that secured his place in sneaker history. To better contextualize the madness surrounding the shoe, we also tracked down some of the people who were on the scene trying to get a pair, or trying to control the chaos. As the first independent boutique to receive mainstream press coverage of a launch, Reed Space helped to change sneaker history that day with the Pigeon Dunks.
