No sneaker brand these days is without a sneaker wedge offering for the ladies, and most of these brands have focused on retooling older models for such offerings.
adidas Originals is at it again with this, the Superstar Up. Much like the earlier adidas Stan Smith Up, this directional shoe stays true to the original in every area but the heel, where a chunky platform is introduced. The shoe is back for 2015 with a pair that uses snakeskin for iconic three stripes branding on the sides as well as the heel tab on the back. While the sneaker-wedge retooling usually ends up pretty blatant, this design is one of the more covert takes on the approach. This women's release from adidas Originals should be showing up at partnered retailers in February.
