It's a dilemma many pimps have faced - the need to dish out a beating. In the case of Sirgiorgiro Clardy of Portland, Oregon, this particular beating was to both a john, who he also robbed, and one of his prostitutes. Clardy didn't intend for the beatings, stemming from the john's failure to pay for "services," to be so severe though.
According to The Oregonian, "the man required stitches and plastic surgery on his nose," and the girl "was injured so badly that she bled from her ears."
That, according to Clardy, is Nike's fault:
"In his three-page complaint handwritten from the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution in Pendleton, Clardy claims that Nike, Chairman Phil Knight and other executives failed to warn consumers that the shoes could be used as a weapon to cause serious injury or death."
Clardy was awarded a 100-year sentence for his crime, the timeframe of which was considerably lengthy because he used a "deadly weapon." He was also declared an "anti-social psychopath who was 100 percent likely to commit violent crimes again" by a psycologist.
This lawsuit will be served to Nike in the coming days, who will then have the chance to respond to their alleged negligence in failing to provide proper warning that their products could be so dangerous.

UPDATE 10/3: After a lengthy trial, the judge has dismissed this case, stating that Clardy "Wasted everyone's time" and one of Nike's attoney's said "There's no evidence of defect or dangerous condition of these shoes when used normally." For more on this ruling, vist this link here.
