He has arrived.
The latest memorable moment in what could be described as a dream season for Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard occurred last night, when the sophomore phenom sent his team to the Western Conference Semis with a game-winner for the ages.
Capping off one of the all-time great playoff series in NBA history, the Blazers found themselves down 98-96 with just .9 seconds left to play in Game 6. On the inbound play, Lillard rolled ran off the screen, received a pass from Nicolas Batum in his 'sweet spot' and let it fly. Nothing but net — the roar from the Moda Center heard around the world.
The shot gave Portland its first series win since 2000. We'll likely be seeing this one replayed for years to come.
Just weeks after re-signing with adidas, Lillard had the biggest moment of his career thus far in the new Crazyquick 2. Lillard laced up the black and red colorway that he had worn for road games, but they looked just as good on the Rose Garden hardwood.
