After a 16-month wait, the Air Jordan XX9 was finally unveiled at an event in Manhattan earlier today. Designer Tinker Hatfield and Michael Jordan himself were among many special guests in attendance for the unveiling.
"We put a lot of hard work into this," said Jordan about his latest signature sneaker. "It's not just something you throw your name on."
The Air Jordan XX9, which Hatfield says has been in development for two years, challenges the industry's top models with an all-new performance-woven upper and re-engineered Flight Plate technology. Looking to align the launch with the start of the NBA season, the release is set for September at a retail tag of $225.
