Today, Mitchell & Ness announces a partnership with the Michael Jordan and Nike brands that will make the sports apparel company the exclusive maker of official NBA Michael Jordan jerseys beginning Spring 2014 and continuing through Holiday 2016.
For the next three years, you'll see M&N release several limited edition Jordan jerseys that will commemorate iconic moments in his storied career. Retail will be set at $250 to $300 for each.
First, in celebration of the game's 25th Anniversary, Michael Jordan's 1989 All-Star jersey will release this Friday. Then, the Bulls jersey MJ wore while hitting "The Shot" over Craig Ehlo during the same season will be available in May.
"We couldn’t be more excited to roll out this series of authentic Michael Jordan jerseys and offer fans the exclusive opportunity to relive some of Jordan’s most iconic career benchmarks. Celebrating sports legacies is what we do, and that’s exactly what we’re giving to our customers – a piece of history, a moment in time that carries not only historical but also sentimental significance,” said Jonathan Yuska, Head of Mitchell & Ness. “These jerseys are storytellers that once again celebrate Jordan’s amazing legacy.”
The '89 All-Star jersey will hit mitchellandness.com for $250 this Friday.
