Sole Watch // NBA Kicks Off Veteran's Day Early

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen all broke out their own spins on honoring Veteran's Day in last night's game.

words // Nick DePaula

Only three games were played last night as the NBA ramps up its recognition of Veteran's Day, and there's a good chance you only caught two.

While there was a nice cameo for the Playoff XIIs by Atlanta Hawk Jared Cunningham and Nate Robinson rocked Jordan IXs, all eyes were certainly on the Heat and Clippers matchup in Miami, and Dwight's reunion game with the LA Lakers.

Of the 224 field goals made last night, it was Steve Blake's game-winning 3 over Dwight Howard's outstretched arms that will certainly live on beyond the week as an iconic moment from early in the season. Blake was fittingly wearing Kobe's 8th signature model for the dagger shot.

We also saw a few holiday-themed sneakers from Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen and LeBron James. (Although Bron's were recycled from last season, as he continues to opt for the X.)
