Nike Football unveiled its new "Calvin & Johnson" campaign today, featuring superstar wide receiver Calvin Johnson and the man "bigger than the city lights down in Times Square," Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Developed by Wieden+Kennedy, the "Calvin & Johnson" campaign brings Megatron's personality to life by creating an alter ego who shoulders the demands of fame and fortune, allowing the soft-spoken and humble receiver to stay focused on his game. The alter ego, played by Sean "Diddy" Combs, handles the distractions with ease.
“This campaign is about removing the excess from the athlete’s mind and life so they can perform at a higher level,” said film director Stacy Wall from Imperial Woodpecker. “Calvin’s an amazing athlete but also extremely focused, and very humble. It’s easy to see why he performs at such a high level because he’s committed to what matters. This storyline brings that truth to life in a fun way.”
