While taking in some of the Fashion Week action in New York City earlier today, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook was spotted rocking the upcoming Doernbecher Air Jordan 5 Retro.
The highly detailed shoe was inspired by Isaac Arzate, a 12-year boy who tragically passed from a rare heart defect last spring. With the use of a special flashlight, words from a poem written by Isaac a day before he passed glow throughout the upper. The Doernbecher Air Jordan 5 Retro will be released in limited quantities on Saturday, September 28.
