Last month, Metta World Peace was waived by the Los Angeles Lakers via the amnesty provision. Looking to add veteran defensive presence, the New York Knicks signed the free agent forward, making it a homecoming for the former Ron Artest.
With his BALL'N days seemingly behind him, World Peace took to Twitter earlier today and asked his followers to help him choose sneakers for the upcoming sneakers. According to his tweets, the shoes can be from any brand, as long as they make his size.
This opens up a ton of possibilities for World Peace, who has had one of the most experimental sneaker runs in basketball history. In addition to BALL'N, he's laced up pairs by brands like PEAK, K1X and Protege, as well as some of the usual suspects like Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse.
So what do you think he should wear next season? Should teammate Carmelo Anthony have some Melo M10s sent over? Could Shump hook him up with a few pairs from the 3-Stripes? Will super fan Spike Lee supply Spizikes or Knicks PE Foams? Metta wants fans to submit ideas through Twitter and his website, mettaworldpeace.com.
Let us know which sneakers you'd like to see Metta World Peace rock in NYC below.
