Nike Golf unveiled the new FI Impact today, a Free-inspired option following in the footsteps of the successful TW '13 and TW '14. Utilizing a Free-inspired sole with Integrated Traction technology, the FI Impact maximizes ground feel and freedom of movement, allowing athletes to unleash the full power of their swings. Dynamic Fit technology provides improved lockdown, while a waterproof mesh upper keeps feet dry while maintaining breathability.
Just as Tiger's insights helped mold the first Nike Free-inspired golf shoes, Norwegian pro Suzann Pettersen was brought in to develop the FI Impact for women. “We collaborated closely with Pettersen to create a shoe fit for her game,” said Lee Walker, Nike Golf’s Footwear Product Director. “The FI Impact allows her to get the transfer of energy her game demands, proving even a swing as powerful as Pettersen’s can utilize the performance of Integrated Traction.”
The Nike FI Impact launches for men and women on Thursday, August 1.
