New Balance Baseball previews the new MB4040v2 cleat, debuting this month at the 2013 MLB All-Star Game. An update to the successful MB4040v1, this new cleat features a lightweight build that incorporates high-performance running technologies, eliminating spike pressure and increasing on-field comfort.
The "All-Star" MB4040v2, shown below in both low- and mid-top options, features a special color scheme inspired by New York and Citi Field, the host site of this year's Midsummer Classic. Bold hits of orange and blue provide color pop, while a unique digi-camo print fills the liner.
New Balance athletes will debut the new MB4040v2 cleat during this month's All-Star festivities. On July 15 and 16, fans are invited to share pictures of Team New Balance athletes wearing their NB gear, seen in-person or on TV, on Twitter or Instagram with the tag #NBAllStar. All qualifying photos with the tag will be entered into a drawing for autographed NB cleats or the "All-Star" Minimus 20v3.
The New Balance MB4040v2 will be available to the public on Thursday, August 1.
