Launched in 2008, the Nike Hyperdunk line continues to evolve with the introduction of the 2013 edition. Designed by Peter Fogg, the Hyperdunk lives up to its reputation for cutting-edge aesthetic. Fogg's credentials include the Air Zoom Tallac, Air Terra Humara, Zoom Terra Sertig, Ashiko and Structure Triax from the running and ACG ranges.

“Although basketball shoe design has greatly transformed over nearly a century, it’s the small, crafted details that make a noticeable difference on the court,” said Fogg. “The Nike Hyperdunk 2013 moves intuitively with the foot, while the tailored tweaks we’ve made lead to an incredibly lightweight, breathable and durable shoe for both indoor and outdoor play.”

The Hyperdunk 2013 expands on its minimalist approach with three of Nike Basketball's most transformative technologies: Dynamic Flywire, Hyperfuse construction and Lunarlon cushioning. A new standard is set with the lightweight fit and feel, while All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving helped develop the lockdown support, intuitive stability and advanced herringbone traction.

“When I first put the new Hyperdunks on, I didn’t want to take them off,” said Irving. “The performance was great and I feel like the shoe’s versatility benefits my game.”

The Nike Hyperdunk 2013 will debut globally on Saturday, July 20. Enjoy a detailed look at the new shoe below and stick with Sole Collector for additional release information.
