Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of G-Shock, the watchmaker has linked up with some of the biggest brands and asked them to design their own G-Shock timepiece. One of the brands is Supra, who announces the release of the "It's About Time" G-Shock Watch and Vaider Lite Collection.
Supra chose its Red Carpet Series Vaider as the inspiration for the collaboration. The black-based shoe is accented by red on the custom lining and sole as a nod to a red carpet event. Displayed across the tongue is "It's About Time" with the clock set to 8:13 (or 20:13 in military time).
For the first time in its thirty-year history, G-Shock is offering this particular watch for customization. Following the Red Carpet Vaider story, the shock-resistant watch's face has been treated to matte black branding on a matte black bezel with red accents. The traditional resin band was replaced with military grade Cordura with a red underside. Custom casing features the "It's About Time" clock, again set to 20:13.
The Supra G-Shock “It’s About Time” watch and Vaider Lite release Saturday, May 11. The watch will be available in extremely limited quantities at Supra NYC, Supra Santa Monica and suprafootwear.com. The Vaider Lite will be sold at Supra retailers and suprafootwear.com.
