It's been nearly a year since we last heard from Athletic Propulsion Labs, who last released new colorways of the Concept 2 during Summer 2012. That changed when the brand recently used Vine to tease the follow-up Concept 3, its third flagship model and fourth overall.
The brand made headlines during Fall 2010, when the Concept 1 was banned by the NBA due to what the league called an "unfair competitive advantage." This was due to the fact that APL uses Load 'N Launch, a spring-based technology that they say will increase your vertical. Whether or not it worked was all subjective, but the NBA's ban only seemed to legitimize the claim.
Now APL returns with the Concept 3, which appears to feature some sort of seamless construction for a lighter, more breathable experience. Additional tech information still to come.
