Before being entrenched as Nike Basketball's leading man, LeBron James conducted somewhat of an unofficial brand audition at the high school level. During LeBron's time at Akron's St. Vincent-St. Mary, the Irish were officially outfitted by adidas, meaning the team frequently wore sneaker models from the brand's early 2000s performance lineups.

Between 2001 and 2002, SVSM received a team exclusive colorway of Tracy McGrady's debut signature shoe, the TMAC 1. As seen being worn by LeBron in a photo below, the shoe was white-based with Irish-inspired dark green and gold accents. The team also played in models like the TMAC 2, Pro Model 2G and a3 Dunkfest before LeBron's high school career came to an end.

For the TMAC 1's recent return, adidas Basketball decided to pay a little tribute to history with a retro release of LeBron's SVSM colorway. The shoe quietly arrived at retailers last week and is now available to buy online at Finishline.
