By now many of you have secured your pairs of tomorrow's re-release of the Air Jordan XI Black/Varsity Red with Twitter RSVP's, raffles or whatever else retailers are doing these days.  While you wait out your time to pick them up, let's go back to when a tweet was something only a bird did and take a look at the originals on Michael Jordan's feet in 1996.

After MJ led the Chicago Bulls to a record 72-win 1995-96 regular season in the Air Jordan XI "Concord", he switched to the "Bred" colorway for the 1996 Playoffs en route to the NBA Finals against the Seattle Supersonics.  After a hard-fought six game series against Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton and the rest of the Sonics in the Bred XI, MJ added to the shoe's already guaranteed legendary status by taking home his fourth NBA Championship while wearing them. Let's go back to '96 and look at a few great images of MJ wearing one of the most legendary basketball shoes of all time, the Air Jordan XI in Black/True Red.
