While the NBA has loosened up the rules when it comes to themed sneakers on Christmas Day and "Green Week" in recent years, a moment during the season that players are starting to recognize even more with special footwear is Veteran's Day.

To celebrate Veteran's Day all weekend long, Under Armour Basketball created a limited edition "Wounded Warrior Project" version of the new Spine Bionic. As part of the brand's official partnership with Wounded Warrior Project, a program that helps soldiers recovering from war injuries and transitioning back to civilian life, Under Armour quickstriked pairs on UA.com yesterday afternoon that immediately sold out. The brand recently announced a $1 Million donation to the project.

"I'm proud to wear these special Wounded Warrior Project Spines to honor everyone that sacrificed for our country," DeAndre Jordan said prior to yesterday's matinee win over the Atlanta Hawks at the Staples Center.

Check out a closer look at the WWP Spine Bionic below, along with a photo of DeAndre's insane dunk during warmups that had everyone buzzing.
