In a bit of not so surprising news, the Washington Post is reporting that Washington Wizards rookie guard Bradley Beal plans to sign a multi-year deal with Nike.
The third overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, Beal has worn Nike throughout his high school, AAU and college career at Florida. According to the report, Under Armour made a push for his services as well.
“It will be a great opportunity for Brad,” Beal's agent Mark Bartelstein told the Washington Post. “Obviously, Nike does terrific things and I think he’s going to be a big part of their plans going forward.”
When Beal's deal becomes official, Nike will have at least the top three picks from the 2012 Draft inked to multi-year deals. Dion Waiters (4th Overall) and Thomas Robinson (5th Overall) are also wearing Nike.
