This past Friday, Converse announced the opening of its first mall-based retail location in Westfield Garden State Plaza, the brand's fourth inline store in the United States and New Jersey's largest. Celebrating the global brand’s creative spirit, the newest Converse store location proudly highlights its diverse product offerings and brings its pioneering spirit and innovation in style and self-expression to life.
The Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall location opened its doors to the public on Saturday, debuting a 4,500 square foot store design that evokes the sport and rock 'n roll heritage of Converse. Featured at the store is a Converse Customization "Ink Bar," where customers will be given the opportunity to add their creative touch to one-of-a-kind footwear, apparel and accessories.
“We are excited to open our very first mall-based platform in Westfield Garden State Plaza, and the largest in New Jersey,” said Jim Calhoun, President and Chief Executive Officer, Converse. “Converse hopes to give consumers an opportunity to spark creativity with our Converse Customization in-store programming. Offered at the Westfield Garden State Plaza location is a premium shopping experience with the broadest assortment of Converse footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and children available at a mall. Select offerings include Jack Purcell, Converse by John Varvatos and Converse First String, the brand's limited-edition collection that celebrates craftsmanship, authenticity and collaboration at the highest level. The store location will also offer exclusive local New Jersey-inspired tee shirts.
