A Closer Look at the Sneakers of the Australian Open

words // Brandon Richard

The final match-ups for the Austrailian Open are now set. In the men's draw, Serbia's Novak Djokovic will look to continue his recent domination of Spain's Rafael Nadal to repeat as Aussie Champion. The Joker has won the last six meetings against Nadal, all of them coming in finals. Nadal is looking to reverse the trend and claim his second Norman Brookes Challenge Cup

On the women's side, Maria Sharapova is looking to pick up her first Grand Slam title since winning the Australian back in 2008. In the final, Sharapova will be taking on Victoria Azarenka of Belarus. That match will not only determine the Women's Aussie Champ, but also the top overall rank in the world.

Recently, Nike Tennis treated us to an Australian Open Lookbook, showcasing what some of their stars were wearing for the tournament. Here, we'll be taking a close look at special PE version of those sneakers, plus a few on-court sightings for adidas and Under Armour.
