With the NFL approving commemorative 9/11 accessories for games played during Week 1, Under Armour has issued a lineup of FDNY and NYPD-inspired cleats to their football athletes. The red, white and blue cleats bear New York City Fire Department and New York City Police Department graphics, as well as the phrase "Believe in Heroes," the lead imitative of the Wounded Warriors project that calls on Americans to recognize the efforts of courageous veterans.
Look for stars like Tom Brady, Julio Jones and Peyton Hillis to wear special 9/11 cleats during their Week 1 games. Afterwards, all cleats and accessories will be sent back to Under Armour for a charitable auction that will be hosted on UnderArmour.com.
