Tonight, one of the NBA's all-time great rebounders and defensive specialists will receive his just due when Dennis Rodman is finally inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. During his 14-year NBA career, Rodman racked up five NBA Championships (two with Detroit, three with Chicago), two NBA Defensive Player of the Year Awards, eight NBA All-Defense selections and seven rebounding titles. Back in April, the Detroit Pistons retired Rodman's #10 jersey and you have to figure a ceremony for #91 in Chicago lies ahead.
However, tonight is all about the Hall of Fame. Rodman will join other greats like Chris Mullin, Artis Gilmore, Arvydas Sabonis and Tex Winter to officially cement his basketball legacy in Springfield, Massachusetts. With his signature outlandish personal style, it's fair to say we're all looking forward to what Rodman will wear for his big night. He gave us all a preview of the footwear on his Twitter account earlier today.
Here's a look at a custom lasered pair of Nike Air Force 1s that Rodman says he'll be wearing for tonight's ceremony. The white-on-white kicks feature elements of Dennis personal and professional life lasered throughout the upper. Some of the lasered items include the names of his children, various statistics, his trademark diving rebound pose and his old Ndestrukt logo.
