For the last few years, the Jordan Brand has celebrated Christmas by re-releasing colorways of their single most popular model, the Air Jordan XI. In 2009, the "Space Jams" caused chaos everywhere. Last year, it was the "Cool Greys" making national headlines. Falling in line for 2011 is the original launch colorway of the Jordan XI, the "Concords."
Though the "Concords" are easily the year's most anticipated release, we've gone months without actually seeing photos of the 2011 version. That all changes today. Here's our first look at the holiday release, featuring a white mesh and leather upper with the famous black patent mudguard wrapped around the base. Black also works the inner liner, tongue detail, heel tab and Jumpman branding. Like we've seen with pretty much all clear-soled Jordan releases in recent months, the translucent outsole on this pair is blue-tinted. Of course, the shoe's nickname comes from the concord hits on the tongue Jumpman branding and outsole tread.
The "Concord" Air Jordan Retro 11 will release on December 23rd. Retail will be $180. You can pre-order a pair over at VMVInc today.
In the meantime, let us know what you think about the 2011 release.
