This past Sunday, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose debuted the adiZero Rose 1.5 during the second half of the NBA All-Star Game. Rose's second signature shoe of the season features a design inspired by Chicago architecture's Structural Expressionist Movement. The 1.5 is boasted to be lighter, stronger and more breathable than its predecessor; all while offering style suitable for casual off-court wear as well.
Sole Collector forum member Shooter gave us a look at a sample pair of the adiZero Rose 1.5 in this colorway back in December. Of course, the shoe sports some changes, most noticeably moving from a nubuck build with a patent leather toebox to a smooth leather look throughout. SprintSkin zones fill in the side panels, divided into three to symbolize each of his three brothers. Red accents the shoe on the tongue, heel and a mesh underlayer, while an aluminum grey rubber outsole takes care of things below.
The adiZero Rose 1.5 is available now at retailers like Eastbay and adidas.
