Later tonight, the "Cement" Air Jordan III will make a return to retail for the first time since 2003. An iconic sneaker in every sense, the "Cements" arguably moved the sneaker industry forward more than any other single model in the Jordan line. The Tinker Hatfield designed sneaker featured new Jordan concepts such as visible air, the famous elephant print and the first Air Jordan appearance of the Jumpman logo that would re-shape the sneaker industry forever.

Michael's play on the court contributed to the overall appeal of the Air Jordan III as well. During the 1987-1988 season, Jordan captured his first league MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, All-Star Game MVP, Scoring Champion, Steals Leader, 1st Team All-NBA and 1st Team All-Defense. Perhaps the biggest memories we have of Michael in the "Cements" is his repeat Slam Dunk Champion performance against "The Human Highlight Reel" Dominique Wilkins in Chicago Stadium.

Take a look at some photos of Michael doing what only Michael could do in the "Cement" Air Jordan III.
